The Yalta System was an independent star system in the Haven Sector. In 1533 PD, a Yaltan delegation led by Kanth Padua took part in the Havenite-sponsored ship sale conference in the Secour System. (MA1) Yalta remained neutral to both the Star Kingdom of Manticore and the People's Republic of Haven as of 1905 PD. (HH3, HH4) Despite that fact, for some reason there was a light Royal Manticoran Navy picket present in the system in 1905 PD, under the command of Rear Admiral Harold Styles. At the beginning of the First Havenite War, his picket was destroyed by the People's Navy. (HH8, SITS)
