A drill driver was a Cardassian industrial vehicle used in mining operations to mechanically bore out new mining tunnels. These vehicles were used in mines on Bajor where the Cardassians employed Bajoran laborers. During the Cardassian withdrawal of their occupation of Bajor in 2369, an abandoned drill driver was at the head of a tunnel where evacuating miners discovered a temporal disruptor embedded in a wall.
