Studded Leather Armor is a piece of armor that was constructed by attaching metal studs to a leather backing. This improved its flexibility and protection over hard leather armor, but was less effective than mail armor. The Studded Leather is the first of the Body Armors in Diablo I and Hellfire to possess a Strength Requirement. While already met by the other classes, Sorcerers may have trouble equipping this by themselves if they go all out on Magic.
