The Rapid Response Teams were elite groups of special forces units used by Starfleet that were known to spearhead operations alongside regular troops or conduct black op missions on behalf of the United Federation of Planets. They were known to had participated in the Dominion War where Rapid Response Team 23 were involved with the sabotage of the Cardassian space station Vuldok Nor. The group of 45 men were capable of accomplishing what an entire fleet was unable to do during the war. (Decipher RPG module: Player's Guide)
