In early 2371, the Stockholm made a routine visit to Alpha Unuria while under the command of Captain Chung. Shortly after leaving the colony, the Stockholm received a distress call. Upon returning to Alpha Unuria, Stockholm found the colony planet there under attack by three Tholian vessels. Captain Chung ordered a defense of the colony, with the knowledge that the effort would probably cost the lives of her crew. After a short exchange of fire, Stockholm disabled a Tholian attacker before suffering severe warp nacelle damage which led to a warp core overload, destroying the vessel.
