This crude armour was made during the Second Age. With frequent fighting, much of the knowledge in armour crafting gained in the First Age was lost, and the lack of any massive wars lead to little demand for well-smithed armour. The Second Age armour is crudly smithed and has stats lower than those of its mithril counterparts. It is rare, but its unsighly apperance, low alch value, and abysmal stats have driven the cost of a set of Second Age armour down to 1,000,000 coins.
