Sammie Howe (7 March 1887 – 12 September 1999) was a verified American supercentenarian. She was born in Greenville, Alabama. She married very young (aged 16) to Percy Stickney. Together, they had a daughter called Ruth. In 1912, the family travelled to Paris, France. On the way back home, they were part of the ship SS Carpathia, which rescued passengers that survived the Titanic disaster. Howe later divorced and remarried, this time to a banker from Florida. Howe was a fan of the basketball team Orlando Magic. Howe died on 12 September 1999 at the age of 112 years, 189 days.
