The Japanese Imperium is one of the major members of the Confederation, a highly advanced society both technologically and economically. The Head of State is the Emperor. It consists of a number of planets — including the capital Oshanko — and asteroid settlements in what is sometimes called the Oshanko sector. (tNA:14) It is one of the few members of the Confederation based on more than one system (others being Kulu, the Edenists and the Tyrathca). Like most other Adamist colonies, however, it keeps links to the “mother country” on Earth, in this case the Govcentral state of Japan.
