The clock battery on most motherboards is a CR2032 button cell battery, about the size of a US quarter. This can be removed by gently lifting/prying it out with a flat head screwdriver. The battery will be held in either by a tab over the top, or smaller tabs on the sides. After removing the battery, simply slide a new one in.
