On Monday, 15 September 1997 the production went to this location near Lone Oak which stood in as the landscape outside of the city on an alien planet in the Delta Quadrant. Near the end of the episode, actors Kate Mulgrew and John Rhys-Davies performed here their escape scene with the Great Bird. Beside actors Mulgrew and Rhys-Davies, John Vargas and featured actor Ty Murphy filmed scenes on location. Stand-ins Sue Henley, Keith Rayve, and J.R. Quinonez were also on location as well as location manager Lisa White.
