Ellen Shemais was a Manticoran citizen, Army officer, and the personal bodyguard of Queen Elizabeth III. Holding the rank of Colonel, she was the commander of Queen Elizabeth III's personal security detachment around 1920 PD. She was also second-in-command of the Queen's Own Regiment. Some people suspected that Colonel Shemais was also an unofficial advisor of the queen. (HH9, HH10)
