A concept that comes into play on the Pantera server is Lak Guard. When you die in PvP combat you are at risk of losing EXP as well as items in your Alt+I carried inventory. If you are carrying a sufficient supply of lak then the amount of EXP lost can be reduced by up to 100% and the probability of dropping an item can be reduced by up to 50%.
