Alpha Coronae Borealis (also known as 5 Coronae Borealis, Gemma and Alphecca) is a star system, a binary star consisting of a type F white star primary with a type G yellow star companion. It is visible in the constellation of Corona Borealis, and is located 75 light years from Earth. Situated in the galaxy's Alpha Quadrant, this system is in or near the space of the Federation in the general vicinity of Rasalhague, Alshain and Upsilon Aquarii. (ST reference: Star Charts)
