Manitoba Rugby Football Union was a league that preceded the Canadian Football League and was founded in 1888. Teams of the MRFU consisted of: * Winnipeg Football Club * St. John's College, University of Manitoba * Royal School of Infantry The league merged with the Alberta Rugby Football Union and Saskatchewan Rugby Football Union to form the Western Canada Rugby Football Union in 1911.
