The Central Bank of Costa Rica saw the birth of their institutional work once agreed legal separation, administrative, financial and functional, the Issue Department, National Bank of Costa Rica. Its capital was fixed at three million colones (3,000,000.00) plus the sum of the reserves of one million five hundred thousand colones (1,500,000.00), mandated annual increase for the latter, with the sums that come from the net profits generated.
