The Village Pub South is located at 198 Broadway in Amityville. It has been described as a venue that constantly overcharges local bands, screws promoters and touring bands, and made it an overall miserable experience whether you came to perform or attend. Yet, they still booked an incredible amount of shows due to the lack of venues on the island. Recently, Sal Mignano from The Sleeping purchased The Village Pub South and renamed it Broadway. Several Long Island musicians such as Ryan Hunter (Envy on the Coast), are now bar-tending there and the venue is going to be renovated.
