The Battle of Marineford (マリンフォード頂上戦争 Marinfōdo Chōjō Sensō?, literally meaning "Summit War of Marineford") was the final stage of the Summit War. It took place in Marineford and the end results were that the Whitebeard Pirates failed to save Ace from death and lost their captain Edward "Whitebeard" Newgate, along with many other comrades. It is known as the Paramount War in the Viz Manga translation, and in the FUNimation version it is known as the 'War of the Best'.
