A Pub is an entertainment building in Tropico 3 and Tropico 4. Because they're so cheap to build and maintain, they're often the first source of entertainment built on a brand new island. Having at least one pub in operation is a requirement for a good Mardi Gras celebration or a convincing spring break vacation deal. When enacting the Secret Police edict, it is ideal to convert a pub into the Secret Police building, as pubs are the least expensive option for conversion. Enacting Prohibition will shut down all pubs on the island.
