Kantare was an inhabited planet, the homeworld of the spacefaring Kantare species. Liana described it as boring. The inhabitants had a colony on the planet Kotara Barath as of 2129. (ENT: "Oasis") According to Star Trek: Star Charts (p. 60, "United Federation of Planets III") and the Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library ("Federation Historical Highlights, 2161-2385"), there was a star system named Kantare (37 Geminorum), which might be possibly be the location of this planet, in the Beta Quadrant. The system's primary was a G-class star.
