Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people in the Southwest Republic have certain rights protected at federal level, while others are regulated by state laws. Since the formation of the Southwest Republic in 2005, same-sex sexual activity and the right to serve openly in the military is protected at federal level; however, same-sex marriage, anti-discrimination laws, and child adoption laws vary by state.
