The Sullen Gulf was a barren volume between two galactic strands. created by the movement of a cluster of black holes commonly known as the Forest. The black holes consumed stars and created the barren volume that lasted for millennia. The cluster was slowly spiralling towards the centre of the galaxy. The inward flank of the Gulf was known as the Glittercliff.
