Wicked is an upcoming Oz film set for release on Decemeber 20th 2019 based on the broadway musical of the same name made by Universal Pictures which co-produced the musical. The storyline is to follow the musical adaption which in turn is based on Gregory Maguire's Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West. Stephen Daldry will direct the film whereas the broadway show's composer Stephen Schwartz and writer Winnie Holzman will also collaborate. A cast lineup has yet to be revealed.
