Rimilia, home to the Dumadan, was a planet locked tidally with its star until 2267, when the USS Enterprise, in a project led by then-Lieutenant Commander Montgomery Scott, managed to grant it a normal rotation through the application of multiple ion thrusters placed around its equator.
