Chamfort is the blacksmith the party meets at the Arms of Justice in Yew in Ultima V. When the Avatar encountered him and asked about the Resistance, he became suspicious. However, mentioning Terrance of Britain (if the party encountered Terrance prior to this and asked about the Resistance), Chamfort came around knowing they spoke to Terrance and asked the Avatar if they would like to lend a hand to the cause. Upon accepting the offer, Chamfort directed them to see a fellow named Landon, who was the leader of the Resistance, whose secret hideout could be accessed through the fireplace in Chamfort's workplace.
