Construction began in 2034 and was completed in 2035 in the Anchorage Shatterdome but was transferred to the New York City Shatterdome . Its first combat apperance was in late 2035 and won an easy vicotry, using its plasma cannon to make short work of the Kaiju. The second combat appearance was in 2036, the last kill was in early 2037. Freedom Omega was destroyed in late 2037 in an epic showdown which ended up in the pilots overriding the main reactor to save New York City which came to be known as the Battle for New York .
