Dennis Elliott and his twin, Patrick, were born during the Pendulum Wars. Two years after his birth, he would move to Halvo Bay with the rest of his family as his father was continuing research into Lightmass at the Halvo Bay Military Academy. During the first year of the Locust War, when General Karn attacked Halvo Bay, Nora and the twins were evacuated to a shelter, but the fighting got close, and it is presumed that Dennis did not survive.
