R7-Ch8 (or Arseven Cherekate) was an R7-series astromech droid owned by Aiddat. He replaced R5-G33, who was destroyed during the Yuuzhan Vong invasion of Eniam. Although Aiddat usually used the E-wing escort starfighter upon obtaining R7-Ch8, the astromech was modified to work with other starships. However, Ch8 was not capable of assisting his master in a StealthX starfighter. Aiddat was soon granted R9-Y9 for such a duty, but he continued to use R7-Ch8 while flying other starships for some time.
