Rob Rohrer began his television career as a producer/director for the BBC making documentaries such as The Lambeth Boys and Cloudburst!. He moved to drama in 1987 working on Brookside with later work on the revamped Crossroads, Doctors and Hollyoaks. Other drama work includes Bumping the Odds and The Man from the Pru. He directed 15 episodes of Coronation Street in 2005 and 2006. In another link with the programme, he was the director of the 2005 documentary The Real Coronation Street.
