In June 2382, the Canterbury was assigned to Bajor as part of the program to allow civilian Typhon Pact vessels access to the Gamma Quadrant. When Deep Space 9 was targeted by Typhon Pact terrorists in August 2383, the Canterbury participated in the evacuation of the station. Canterbury transported more people to Bajor than any other ship involved in the rescue operation.
