Yalimapo (VMMM039) was born in the Moomins. His mother was Grumpy and his father was Burgan. He was born in late 2006 or early 2007. He may have been in Burgan's last litter with Grumpy. His litter-mates were VMMP040 and VMMP041 but they soon died after they started foraging with the adults. Yalimapo survived and made it through his first few months. Burgan died and his eldest brother Toft took over dominance. The Moomins were a big group. They had to foraged over a wide area to find enough food. Soon the group split and most of the members left the study site. Yalimapo went with them. What happent to him remains unknown but he probably went roving with his brothers by now and joined a wild group.
