The warlock update republished the original warlock class from the Player's Handbook with a number of changes. These changes addressed player concerns that the warlock focused too much on controlling effects instead of damage for a striker class, and that star pact warlocks were penalized by having to focus on both Charisma and Constitution as primary abilities.
