Howie Pruitt is a local Mayberry kid and a good friend of Opie Taylor. His mother is Mrs. Pruitt and his father is Mr. Williams (as he went by Howie Williams in "Barney Fife, Realtor"). Howie is said to be a troublesome student for Helen in "Aunt Bee's Invisible Beau".
