Thev was an Andorian ambassador. His wife was a linguist who died when she contracted a virus in 2360. He and his daughter Thala resided aboard the USS Enterprise-D since before it visited Farpoint Station. He had known Beverly Crusher and Wesley Crusher since 2364. He was planning to move to Delma in the Vega Sector with Thala; however, when the Enterprise first encountered the Borg in 2365, he was one of the eighteen killed (and the only non-crewmember killed) when the Borg sliced out a section of the ship.
