A Futakuchi-onna (lit. Two-mouth Woman) is a Japanese term for person afflicted with a unique type of supernatural alteration, brought about by long periods of being denied access to food. This alteration only befalls women, hence the name. Although she stays unaffected in physiology and psychology beyond this alteration, this alteration classifies a person so-afflicted as a yōkai. The person otherwise stays unaffected and continues to act as a normal human being.
