Aunt Addie is the wife of Uncle Oliver Murray. She is "fat and rosy and jolly-looking", and the mother of many children. She is sore at Emily after the latter refuses to marry her son, Andrew Murray in Emily Climbs. Aunt Addie gives Emily a little red-feathered hat one Christmas.
