This is my first alternative history on this site so be kind if it's atrocious. The premise is what if the Confederacy was able to gain British and French recognition and support after a successful Confederate victory at Antietam. Unlike other scenarios where the Union folds over, here the Union remains stubborn and finds its own allies and soon the civil war turns into an earlier world war. I know this has been done before but I really like this concept and want to give my own version. Hope to do a lot more with this universe when I'm all done with the Great War.
