Yuhk Bahl Deung Cha is a special kick which is first introduced in Maek Cha Ki #13 (attacking vital points with kicking techniques). To properly perform this kick from a left guarding stance, one needs to cock the right leg with the knee pointing towards the target and the right foot tucked near the body, then one simply extends the foot to the target. This kick is not a vertical or upwards striking kick as most people tend to interpret it, but is usually performed as a horizontal kick. It is introduced again at the Blackbelt level to perform Kawi Cha Gi, or scissor kick (the reverse round kick is combined simultaneously with a side kick in a jumping motion which yields the scissor kick).
