Orange Phazon is a highly radioactive, mutagenic, and semi-sapient substance. It is far more potent than the more abundant Blue Phazon, with its radiation and mutagenic levels far exceeding that of the 'lower' substance. For unknown reasons, Orange Phazon eventually produce blue-hued energy spheres on their surface, which are known to be used to spawn the deadly Fission Metroids. Orange Phazon is best documenting within the impact crater on the planet Tallon IV. Like other forms of phazon, it exists in a number of phases.
