He made appearances in two of the BBC's children's drama serials: namely, Codename Icarus (1981) as the suave villain John Doll, and The Box of Delights (1984) as Arnold of Todi. However, Locke's best-known role was the assassin Vargas in the James Bond film Thunderball (1965).
