Portmeyron was awarded to the knight Montbard for his service in the elven wars though was said to be cursed as its previous lord threw himself from the top of the castle onto the rocks below. Indeed it was cursed by the Faceless along with the surrounding area to give an unnatural air of peace and tranquility and making those who pass though forget their time here. This allowed the Faceless to hide their invisible library in plain sight.
