The Administrative Commander was a high-ranking position at Starfleet Command. The administrative commander was a representative of the Chief of Starfleet Personnel. This commander was responsible for the custody and maintenance of a transferring Starfleet officer's service record, dissemination of Starfleet directives, and issuing instructions and appropriate forms for required Starfleet reports. For Starfleet officers transferring to interstellar staffs, joint staffs, and planetside staffs, the responsibilities of the adminstrative commander were performed by the staff administration.
