Olympic gold medalist Kristin Armstrong is confident she can overcome her injury to earn a spot on the women's team for the London Olympics. The Boise-based rider crashed in Thursday evening's Exergy Tour prologue and broke her left collarbone. Armstrong had surgery Friday. "My chances are not gone," Armstrong said. "I have nine weeks until the Olympics. I'm going to come back stronger than ever. This injury is not going to keep me from going to London." Armstrong has a big believer in her corner: Connie Carpenter, winner of the 1984 women's road cycling gold medal at the Los Angeles Games.
