King Phylas was the king of Dryopis. He had two daughters, Meda (sometimes spelled Mideia) and Astyokhe. Phylas violated the sanctuary of Delphi. In response to this, Herakles attacked and killed King Phylas. Herakles later laid with Phylas' daughters. Meda would bare Herakles Antiokhus and Astyokhe would carry Tlepolemus.
