William Gibbs McAdoo was a confederate politician who served as the 13th President of the Confederate States (1919 - 1922). The majority of his presidency was spent battling with both congress and the supreme court, with congress to push through his domestic agenda and with the supreme court over whether he should be able to seek a full term in office after he completed Wilson's term. He was the last Whig President, and the first born after the War of Southern Independence.
