Qualf III, or simply Qualf, was the third planet in the Qualf star system in the Orion Neutrality Area in the Alpha or the Beta Quadrant. It was the only class M planet in its system, and it had four moons. It was home to an Orion colony. Qualf was formerly known as a peaceful and pleasant world, with a reputation for being happy and industrious. Its population, numbering over 3.4 billion Orions, was second only to the homeworld of Botchok. It rarely experienced war and never suffered pirate raids, and Orion refugees from the Outer Dark and Klingon and Romulan invasions were no trouble.
