A Mutual Kill is when two characters simultaneously kill each other. They occur frequently throughout the series as compared to other books. An example of this is when in Loamhedge, Dargle stabs Skrodd, but Skrodd decapitates Dargle at the last moment, resulting in both of their deaths. A mutual kill may also be between two different armies or forces simultaneously slaying each other, such as between Kharanjul's horde and Bragoon & Sarobando. There are 12 confirmed mutual kills in the Redwall series (three of which happen in Pearls of Lutra), plus two disputed ones.
