Martin was a member of the Remnants in St. Louis, Missouri. Alongside Ellis and Glenda, he helped defend their damaged VTOL against the Chimera until they were assisted by Joseph Capelli. Martin then participated in attempting to capture a power core from a Chimeran dropship; the ambush goes well at first, but an unexpected second dropship caused the plan to quickly turn into chaos. Martin was the first to be killed during the battle.
