Soundtrack to a New York City Romance is Robbie Hassett's solo project's concept EP. It was written about his relationship with a girl from New Jersey while he was playing in the band GunsLikeGirls. He wrote it so that he could look back on the EP later in life and feel nostalgia. He recorded it at Nick Zinnanti's Bethpage Home Studio.
