The Guild of Ink Makers or Ink-making Guild was one of the 18 major Guilds of D'ni. It was also considered one of the most important, as it was the sole producer of the ink necessary to write a Descriptive Book or Linking Book. The production is a closely held secret, taught only to those who join the guild. During the time of the King Koreen, the Guild was robbed by agents of the Judges of Yahvo; they stole Ink in order to create their own illicit Ages. The King responded with tighter security. Shortly before the Fall of D'ni, the Grand Master of the Guild was one of the Lords of D'ni.
