The Harjoril family was the most powerful political family on Naboo during the 1st century ABY. Their traditional regnal name is Sharosa. They date back from before the time of King Jafan but until very late in the 1st century BBY never held power outside a tiny area in Naboo's southern atmosphere. Several strategic alliances caused their state to raise following the Trade Federation invasion, but only truly joined the elite families when one of their members, Denis Harjoril, led the Theed uprising against the Galactic Empire in 4 ABY. He was elected King the following year, the first of five monarchs from the Harjoril family preceding Wosté Sharosa, who attempted to kill Darth Krayt in 131 ABY, resulting in her death and the family's fall from power.
